Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is seeking more air defence systems from Nato. This request comes after intense Russian strikes, including drone attacks. The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, mentioned that Russian anti-air defences intercepted most of the 430 drones aimed at the capital. The severity of the damage from these attacks is still unclear. Many videos on social media show long lines of people waiting for petrol, and some are fighting over it. Zelensky is hopeful that the upcoming Nato meeting in Turkey will yield positive results. He emphasizes the need for Ukraine to receive assistance, particularly with weapons. Russian missiles are becoming a major concern, as they are fast and dangerous. Though Ukraine’s forces manage to intercept many drones, they failed to stop any missiles in a recent attack. Zelensky expressed frustration over the lack of resources and urged European allies to provide their stockpiles of Patriot missiles. He believes that these weapons are crucial for protecting civilians. If Russia continues to escalate its attacks, Ukraine is also considering producing its own missile systems with Nato's support. So, securing these defence systems remains imperative to safeguard the country.
