The Shard is a skyscraper located in London. It is 310 meters tall and has 95 floors. The building opened on July 5, 2012. Many visitors go to The Shard to enjoy the stunning views of London. When it was inaugurated, it became the tallest building in Europe. This was an important achievement for London's skyline. However, just four months later, the Mercury City Tower in Moscow became taller than The Shard. This event shows how quickly tall buildings can change the title of 'the tallest' in Europe.
